A relaxed, intentional experience from start to finish
You’ve probably never hired a wedding photographer before and if you have, it probably wasn’t for your own wedding.
So when you’re looking at all these Melbourne wedding photography portfolios, it’s fair to wonder…
What’s it actually like to work with this person?
Here’s what I can tell you about working with me at Ebb and Flow Photography:
It’s relaxed, it’s real, and it’s designed around you.
When you enquire, you won’t get a generic info pack and a cold email back.
You’ll get a real response from me, probably with a voice note or a video, and an invitation to book in a quick discovery call.
That first call? Think of it as a blind date, minus the awkward silences. You talk, I listen. I ask about what you’re dreaming of, what matters to you, and how you want to feel on your wedding day. We may even meet up for a cheeky coffee at Daydreamers or one of the other brilliant Melbourne cafes.
Because this isn’t just about photography.
It’s about helping your day run smoothly, so you can actually live it. That’s why all my packages start at 6 hours, they focus on you, on telling your story fully. See more about them here.
Once you’re booked, you’re not just a name in my inbox.
I check in. I send helpful tips. If you need timeline help or want to know when the best golden light hits your venue, I’m your guy.
My background in event planning (and my love of a good spreadsheet) means I know how to make things run on time without making it feel like a production.
You get my full attention in the lead-up, and I’m always available to weigh in on outfits, timing, vendors, or if your aunty should be seated near the bar (the answer is probably yes).
On the day, I’m not there to direct a photoshoot.
I’m there to witness and preserve your story, the loud moments and the still ones, the sacred and the celebratory.
I’ll fluff your veil. I’ll pin a boutonniere. I’ll keep things calm when time’s running a little behind. And you’ll barely notice I’m there, until I’m on the dance floor with you capturing every wild, joy-soaked moment, especially if you have a rocking DJ (like Music With Memories) keeping the vibes high, good luck getting me back off the dance floor.
My approach is documentary, emotive, and unobtrusive.
You don’t need to worry about what to do in front of the camera, I’ll guide you when needed, and step back when I don’t.
When you open your gallery, I want you to feel it in your chest.
Not just “wow, these are beautiful” but “oh my gosh, I forgot that happened.”
You’ll find the big moments of course, your vows, the kiss, the sunset portraits.
But you’ll also find the quiet ones:
Because I’m not just delivering pretty images.
I’m giving you a memory you can hold onto for life.
I’m a huge believer in printing your photos, in building a legacy that lives on beyond phone screens and Instagram posts.
That’s why I offer albums, framed prints, and gallery options that feel like heirlooms. You deserve to flip through your day years from now and still feel it.
And I’ll be there to help design and guide you through that process too, no pressure, no hard sell, just thoughtful curation.
It’s personal.
It’s relaxed.
It’s quietly intentional.
And it’s built around you, your values, and the story you’re telling.
If you’re looking for a Melbourne wedding photographer who blends artistry, emotion, and presence, you’re in the right place.
Let’s talk.
