A name with personal roots, and deeper meaning.
When it came time to name my wedding photography business, I didn’t just want something trendy. I wanted something true, something that reflects how I approach weddings across Melbourne, Gippsland, and beyond.
Ebb and Flow Photography is exactly that.
It’s a quiet nod to my own story.
My wife’s name is Ebony. My name (Jordan) means “flowing down.”
So, yeah, part of it is very personal. Ebb and Flow is me, it’s us. It’s a reminder that this work is rooted in love and our story. It’s a constant reminder as to why I do this, and why I am so passionate about capturing weddings authentically. Because I’m not just capturing your day, I’m helping to tell your story. This one day is the beginning of that story and I want it told honestly.
But it’s also something more.
The phrase “ebb and flow” speaks to the rhythm of life, the highs and lows, the joy and stillness, the chaos and calm.
That’s what draws me in as a Melbourne and Gippsland wedding photographer. It’s what I see on every wedding day.
The loud, fast, unforgettable moments:
And the quiet, sacred ones:
Because your wedding day isn’t just a story of big milestones.
It’s a story of movement. Of contrast. Of tiny moments rolled in with the heights of emotion. Of ebb and flow. And that’s why couples choose me as their wedding photographer in Melbourne and Gippsland and beyond.
So when you see the name Ebb and Flow, know that it’s more than a brand.
It’s a reflection of the way I see the world, the way I approach marriage, photography, and every story I’m lucky enough to capture.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that celebrates both the sacred and the wild, the quiet and the joy, then you’re in the right place.
I’d be honoured to tell your story.
